Hold you nose, Rep. Joe Barton is here

If ever we needed corroboration that Congress has corrupted our constitutional
governing process, the current BP hearings are visual and auditory proof.
By some amazing coincidence the ranking Republican congressman on the Energy committee, Rep. Joe Barton, Tex. received an unusually generous campaign contribution
from BP. Good ol' Joe would be the committee chairman if the Repubs take over the house next election.
In questioning the BP CEO Joe expressed deep chagrin that Pres. Obama had treated him so harshly, suggested that Obama apologize to him, and stated that the $20B
compensation fund was in effect presidential blackmail. According to good ol' Joe,
BP is the victim of excessive governmental zeal. To follow his logic, the U.S.
should establish a compensation fund for BP to ease the losses BP's shareholders
are suffering.
Pardon me, i'm going to the bathroom to retch.

Joe Barton is only a wanna-be of the new age aristocracy hopefuls.

In point of fact America has no champions available because the threat of lost PAC money scares everyone away from public service.

Barton is a boob and everyone knows that but viable, intelligent public servants are holding their heads close to their chests because they know civil unrest is only days away and they do not want to be affiliated with that kind of "change".

Republicans have taken the stand of refusing to change for any reason (because they have millions to keep them in public view), Democrats have come to believe they are the majority (though they continuously shoot themselves in the foot on every issue) and foreign entities demonstrate superiority over everyone else because of short-sighted, bigotry in recent U.S. policy modifications.

The real problem is that the U.S.A. has lost its heart. We don't know what to believe, don't care about anyone else and continue to rely on worthless candidates who are able to collect millions of dollars to buy their way into federal politics (mainly though purchased advertising campaigns).

Come on, America!

None of us can honestly believe this stupidity is worth our attention.

Let's wage a new war right here on our own soil! Let's find the means of reclaiming the right of "home rule". It does not matter which political party is named or even if any party is involved. It's our country and must be OUR country bar none.
